Spotify is one of the most high-profile apps on the App Store, and it finally made the jump with version 8.5.80 of its iOS app. Unfortunately, the new widget isn't all that powerful or useful. Google Maps is an alternative app for navigation. Many people use Spotify rather than Apple Music for music streaming. Others prefer Chrome for web browsing instead of Safari. Anyone can install these apps on their iPhone. But what if you want to always use Google Maps instead of Apple Maps? What if you want links to open in Chrome every time? Please bring this option back! I don't use the web player. And, I don't want to now have to start copying and pasting the link into spotify app. The advanced settings used to have the option to have links open in the desktop app. But that option has recently disappeared.

The iTunes lossless format (M4A) isn't supported.
If your file isn’t supported, we do our best to match it with songs from the Spotify catalog. The version we match with might differ from the original.
